Hi,
my name is Kate DuPree, and my experience with Casablanca Couture Studio saved
my wedding! I was dealing with a company over the internet that was making a
custom renaissance wedding dress for me. They were incredibly rude, and snooty,
constantly telling me that I was doing my measurements wrong. To make a long,
messy story short, they cut my dress too short, by about 4 to 5 inches! I was
devastated. It was only a few weeks until my wedding, and I was stuck with a
high water dress! I was so blessed to have a connection with Ana Ayala, and
her couture studio. She listened to my ideas, and even figured out things I
would never have dreamed. As she brainstormed on how to fix my dress, she was
also making a perfect miniature replica of my dress for my flower girl. After
she finished the little dress, she was inspired to fix the length problem with
crepe netting and flowers. She fixed my dress length, and as if that were not
enough, she also made a custom shift to go under my very heavy dress, so that
after the ceremony and pictures I could dance and be comfortable in style. (I
had a late July wedding, so I'm sure I would have died without it)! I can't
believe how lucky I was to meet such a compassionate and talented designer.
As soon as I walked into her studio, I knew I was in good hands. Without Casablanca,
my wedding attire would have been a mess. I can say from experience that Ana's
kindness, understanding, professionalism, inspiration, and fabulous skills work
miracles. I would recommend her to anyone, she can do anything!
The very happy bride,
Kate
This
picture shows Ana's clever idea to fix the length on Kate’s dress. She
designed a mesh tunnel to go around the hem and filled the inside with flower
petals and beads. The dress was altered and embellished with ribbons. The
flower girl especially loved the flowers and beads that floated freely with
the dress' movement.
